Pathways to Success Scholarship
The Pathways program is a partnership with the Commonweal Foundation ( www.commonweal-foundation.org ) that assists students by awarding them scholarships to attend Campion Academy. The Campion Academy school environment provides Pathways students the opportunity to increase their academic skills, gain work experience, and expand their knowledge of life beyond their local communities. Although Pathways for Success is primarily a funding program, Commonweal Foundation personnel visit the students at Campion and review academic progress and monitor participation in school employment.
Award amounts are determined on a case-by-case basis, up to a maximum of $4,745 per academic year for dorm students and $2,200 per academic year for village students. Awards are renewable for up to four years as long as the renewal requirements are met. The Commonweal Foundation, not Campion Academy, determines final grant amounts and while you may qualify to apply, the actual grant determination is not guaranteed. Students receiving Pathways scholarship are required to work monthly during the school year, as well as during the summer months. The age of the student determines the number of hours the student needs to work in order to receive the full scholarship that has been awarded.
