Farewell to Michael Torres

We are deeply saddened by the loss of one of our Campion family, Michael Torres. Husband to Patricia Torres, Campion's Learning Resource director and ELL instructor, Michael passed away Monday evening, January 9, after a battle against cancer.
 
Our hearts go out to Patricia, her son Michael and his wife Katie, and son Patrick and his wife Alex. Michael's passions were Patricia, his children, grandchildren, and the Denver Broncos.
 
Patricia and Michael have lived on our campus for 12 years, and their sons Michael ('06) and Patrick ('08) both graduated from Campion. Michael even wished to retire on campus--he loved our school and church community so much! Whenever Patricia passed along the news that someone was praying for him, his face would light up.
Our students, staff, and church family joined together this Sunday, January 15, to do what Michael loved to do best--share a good meal and spend time with each other. After a memorial service in the church, we all ate together and shared stories. Campion students presented Patricia with a chain of hearts filled with handwritten notes of encouragement and appreciation.
 
We will sincerely miss Michael's Christian character, his patient attitude, his love for others, and his devotion to his family.
