Thanks to Journey to the Cross, this Easter at Campion Academy was truly one to remember. Most of us have heard the story of Jesus dying on the cross and raising from the dead three days later. It’s a beautiful love story about Jesus’s passion for His people and the sacrifice He was willing to make to bring us back to heaven with Him someday.
Journey to the Cross is an excellent opportunity to go and experience what it might've been like in those times. It's a chance to not only hear about why we celebrate Easter, but to see it too! A skit was performed about every hour depicting the fight between the devil and God when Jesus died on the cross, and when He rose again. It was truly moving and showed how deep God’s love is for us that He would send His Son to die. Jesus was really felt in the Campion gym this past Sabbath. “Journey to the Cross was cool, I went three times, and it really reminded me about how much Jesus sacrificed himself for all of us.” –Abbie Proudfoot (senior) “It was an eye opening experience that helped me see how amazing Jesus’s resurrection was.” –Kelby Eickmann (junior) Natalie Boonstra is a senior at Campion Academy.
