Academy Days this year was a complete success. Our campus was filled with around 100 students and sponsors from all over who have an interest in attending our school. Students learned to never stop exploring God’s world and to always use Him as their compass. The perspective students participated in many activities that had arctic, mountain, jungle, and desert themes such as rock climbing, building igloos, and decorating African masks. On Sabbath, students had the chance to go hike in Colorado’s beautiful nature. The weekend ended with a soccer game of Campion students vs. academy day students. “My academy days experience was awesome. Experiencing dorm-life, gym activities, and seeing how everyone is treated like family were the highlights for me.” Says Julian Coria, an 8th grader from Utah. Our Student Association (SA) was honored to be apart of helping out in this big weekend along with our staff and Ms. Jessica Rios, our recruiter. Our campus was thrilled to have guests from all over join us for a long weekend. Rebekah Cunningham said, “Academy Days was eye-opening because all of the young people who were so respectful.” It was a delightful experience not only for the perspective students, but also for our own high school students. “I loved Academy Days because it was an excellent experience for me to bond with the girls who stayed in my room. I saw Jesus through the kids by how polite they were and it reminded me to enjoy Campion because of how excited they were to be here.” Our campus is looking forward to having many new students next year. Rayna Williams is a senior at Campion Academy.
