Campion’s gym was transformed into an enchanted forest by the Student Association (SA) for the annual banquet on Sunday. The walls were lined with lighted evergreens, sparkling lights draped with ivy were strung overhead, mist filled the air, and woodsy decor topped each table. Students lined up to capture their glamorous outfits at themed photo booths and enjoyed a catered Italian dinner with live music. “I thought it was very pretty; all the decorations were very beautiful. The most fun thing about the banquet was just spending time with people,” Sierra Felix, junior, said. “I thought the live music was really nice; I liked it a lot. It was a great addition because it felt romantic.” SA finished off the night with a scavenger hunt around campus. After completing all the missions, students jumped onto a decorated bus and went for a ride. Sophomore Seth Coe reflected, “I had a lot of fun. I enjoyed spending time with my friends on the party bus because we sang a lot of songs, and it was pretty loud which made me feel good.” The SA officers worked very hard to put everything together even while COVID restrictions remained in place. Clark Cinco, SA President stated, “It went very well. We were able to set it up in a quick and efficient manner. Despite a few minor issues, it seemed like we were able to pull it off and make it fun for everybody. We stayed on task and focused, and all worked together as a team.” Erin Johnson, the lead SA sponsor commented, “There were a lot of hours put into beforehand to get the look we were going for, and then it was hours of setting up, but the SA did a really great job. During the banquet, I heard positive feedback, so that made me happy. It looked like everyone was smiling and having fun and that’s what it’s all about.” Airi Nomura, Student News Team Photos: Jill Harlow & Gwyn Reeves Video: Noah Sturges
